The Exile

The Exile

This page keeps the journeys in one place. Past lives, quick crossings, long stays. Some pieces are polished, some are fresh from a station platform. Read them as postcards that forgot to be brief.

What you’ll find here

  • Field notes short, situational entries from trains, ferries, cafés, and coastlines.

  • City essays longer reflections that map a place through routine, not tourism.

  • Routes and rituals practical itineraries, packing lists, and repeatable days.

Upcoming Residencies

Avignon House Residency

The Avignon Almanac

A series of city essays, train-day field notes, and a repeatable day plan. A home-base residency anchored in daily routes, markets, and trains that fan out from the city. One or two week sprints focused on place by repetition, not novelty. First window: February to May 2026, staged in weekly blocks.

Sitges Seasonal Residency

Cathedral of Salt

A returning seasonal residency shaped around sea light and high-summer intensity, this chapter moves from essays into atmosphere.

Across June, July and August, I’ll build a nine-part instrumental cycle rooted in the textures of queer life in Sitges, mornings that forgive, balconies that beckon, steam rooms that sanctify, parades that claim the street as scripture, last light that lingers on skin and salt.

Summer 2026. Three months of listening closely. Recording quietly. Letting the town speak in heat, hush and afterhours echo.

Limassol Coastal Residency

An island-time residency shaped by promenades, ports, and off-season quiet. Early mornings for drafting, late afternoons for mapping routes and recording ambient sets. Working set: “Cyprus Notebooks,” mixing route guides, coastal essays, and a small sound library. Target window: October 2026, 2–3 weeks.
